MUSIC VIDEO: Delilah - Love You So

Lana Del Rey did it first.

Lana Del Rey did it better.

"Go" is still amazing.

Meh:

MUSIC VIDEO: Beyoncé - Dance For You

Another day, another Beyoncé music video.

This time it's "Dance For You".

Prepare to see a markedly non-visibly-pregnant Beyoncé (this was shot a while back) at her very sexiest:

MUSIC VIDEO: Nicola Roberts - Yo-Yo

Out January 8th, "Yo-Yo" is the third single lifted from Nicola Roberts' debut solo album "Cinderella's Eyes" which I raved about a while ago. The video is directed by the same lady responsible for Nicola's amazing cover art and features Nicola as the hostess of a hipster get-together.

Check out the now-blonde Queen Ginge get soaked in the shower below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Birdman feat. Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne - Y U Mad

It's no secret Birdman will never be as big commercially as his associates. Still, every now and then he tries, here's another try. "Y U Mad" isn't amazing, great, or even good really, but don't Nicki look cute as a female Weezy?

I would, you would, we all would.

Enjoy:

MUSIC VIDEO: Donkeyboy - City Boy

Norwegian synth-pop outfit Donkeyboy have been kinda laid aside ever since X-Factor UK winner Joe McElderry put out a cover of their track "Ambitions". Unfortunate because it was quite a good cover, did well (I hope they made plenty of money from it) and even if it was shit that would have been no reason for people to forget about Donkeyboy, what's up with that? Anyways, they're back now and un-ignorable with new single and Dr Who-esque video "City Boy".

Make love to it below:

WATCH: A Very Gaga Thanksgiving (Performances)

Yesterday ABC aired Lady Gaga's aptly titled Thanksgiving special "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving", which featured four rather stellar performances of her singles from latest album "Born This Way". (Only second single "Judas" was left out, perhaps being too abrasive a tune for such an occasion).

Amazing - it's no wonder the accompanying EP has already shot up right to the top of the iTunes charts.

MUSIC VIDEO: Katie Sky - Sweet Sweet Melody

I posted about Katie Sky and her impressive debut single "Sweet Sweet Melody" a few days ago. The song's music video may be quite simple and doesn't have much of a story line, but it fits the song well and serves as a nice introduction to Katie, who looks like she could be Blair Waldorf's sweeter, innocent younger sister (cue pretty head-band, pretty dresses, lots of accessories and a general air of cutesy prettiness throughout).

The single itself is also out now and off to a great start on iTunes - get it if you haven't already.

Enjoy below:

FREE DOWNLOAD: Busta Rhymes feat. Chris Brown - Why Stop Now

Hot on the heels of news of Busta Rhymes signing with Young Money/Cash Money comes his new single "Why Stop Now", featuring none other than Mr Christopher Brown. I guess it was time for Breezy to repay the favour done on "Look At Me Now", THE urban hit of the past year - a hit that really solidified Breezy's return to form and consolidated his position at the very highest echelons of the urban music hierarchy, but also showcased Busta's new faster-than-lightning delivery which everyone wants (but really can't) imitate.

It's pretty hot, Top 10 R&B/Hip-Hop chart material, but lacks crossover appeal.

FREE DOWNLOAD: Tinie Tempah ft. Wretch 32 & J Cole - Like It Or Love It

Taken from Tinie Tempah's upcoming "Happy Birthday" mixtape, featuring US star J Cole and fellow Brit Wretch 32. All three guys have had an incredible past year or so, breaking into the top of the charts - Tinie on both sides of the Atlantic, Cole in the US and Wretch in the UK.

I love the fact that R&B star LeToya Luckett (original member of Destiny's Child) is cited in this. Other than that, it's just..OK. Nothing special.

LIVE(ish): Lady Gaga - Marry The Night (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving)

Whilst we all wait patiently for the official music video for new single "Marry The Night", Lady Gaga has graced fans with a pseudo-visual for a live-ish performance of the song that will be part of her ABC Thanksgiving special, which airs tonight at 9:30pm.

Apparently she's channeling Bette Middler but I'm nowhere near old enough to know if that's true or not. Studio vocals are laced in, especially towards the end of the performance, hence why it's only live-ish.

MUSIC VIDEO: Justin Bieber feat. Boyz II Men - Fa La La

Canadian teen idol and nobody's baby daddy Justin Bieber teams up with R&B legends Boyz II Men - who dominated American charts throughout the late 90s and made history alongside Mariah Carey spending the most months at #1, EVER, with "One Sweet Day" - on new Crimbo single "Fa La La".

Coincidentally, Boyz' fellow history-maker Mariah was also recruited for another collabo (my personal pick for single #3) on Bieber's chart-topping Yuletide LP "Under The Mistletoe", the first body of new work to be released by the Bieb after the numerous re-releases and re-edits of his debut record.

Enjoy (you won't) the rather boring black and white visual for the song. That said, if you're under 15 and ovulating for the first time, you're allowed a single shriek of delight. Go on, you know you want to.

WATCH: Keri Hilson Disses Beyoncé Again

It's been a minute since Keri Hilson became a fixture in the world of the R&B. After various false starts, she put out "Turnin' Me On" featuring production from Polow Da Don and a verse from Lil Wayne, finally scoring big on both radio and charts. It was with some discomfort that fans heard the official remix to that song, which was generally interpreted as a diss towards Beyoncé and Ciara. It was pretty blatant. Naturally, after all the backlash (including earning a new nickname 'Miscarried Baby'), Miss Keri Baby stepped out, denied everything, and even did a twitcam "we love each other <3" type thing with Miss Ciara Princess Harris. Still, nobody was really buying it, and just when the matter was about to be dropped, Keri does the following:

Lord gives us strength.

NEW MUSIC: Mary J Blige feat. Busta Rhymes - Next Level

Award winning singer, rapper, actress and model Mary J Blige is widely acclaimed as a legend in her own lifetime (Rolling Stone named her as one of their greatest singers of all time). Having recorded eight multi-platinum albums and being the only artist in history to win Grammy awards in Pop, Rap, Gospel and R&B, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul seems set to continue her winning streak with new album "My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act I)", the second in a trilogy of albums beginning with her 1994 album "My Life" and closing with "My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act II", tentatively scheduled for a May 2012 release.

Guest appearances on the album come courtesy of Mary's own rap alter-ego Brook-Lynn, Nas, Beyoncé, Drake, and Rick Ross. Despite several confirmations from involved parties and even a leak of two songs they were working on together, Nicki Minaj is nowhere to be seen on the finalized tracklisting of the record.

This week Mary's in the UK promoting her new record and discussing the possibility of joining the judging panel of upcoming televised talent competition, The Voice UK.

One of the best tracks on the record is "Next Level", which rounds off the guest appearances with a feature from fellow legend Busta Rhymes. After some time away, Busta has recently found newfound success with several features (most prominently on Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" and Kelly Rowland's "Motivation Remix"), which no doubt paved the way for his recently announced new deal with Young Money/Cash Money. For those not in the know, that's the same label and crew who have been running hip-hop with the indomitable trio of Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake.

Anyways - check out the cut below. If this isn't a single at some point then damn.

MASH-UP: Lady Gaga vs. Khia - My Neck, My Scheiße

Hilarious. Amazing. Terrifying.

LIVE: Justin Bieber - DWYCK (Freestyle)

Everyone's favourite Canadian teen idol - and Mariah Yeater's not-baby-father, it seems - Justin Bieber stops by Hot 97 in New York and does a freestyle over Gang Starr's classic. The Biebs, who of late has taken to rapping quite often, sometimes under the moniker of Shawty Mane, seemed eager to disprove DJ Premier's recent allegation that he wanted Ludacris to write his bars for him on BET Hip-Hop Award Cyphers.

MUSIC VIDEO: Jo Birchall - Wonderful

The aptly titled "Wonderful" is the first single taken from pretty blonde singer-songwriter Jo Birchall's debut album "Something To Say". It's something of an adult take on Taylor Swift (not just because of the Romeo 8 Juliet lyric) and the like, perhaps unsurprising given the time Birchall previously spent recording the country-inspired first incarnation of her debut album (which never saw release) in Nashville.

There's also something a bit Delta Goodrem-y about it, in a good way. Like what Delta should be doing, instead of whatever she is doing, wherever she is right now.

Anyways. Enjoy the video below and be sure to hop on over to iTunes or Amazon and get this track legally.

NEW MUSIC: Katie Sky - Sweet Sweet Melody

The pretty girl pictured above is Katie Sky, twenty-two years of age and straight out of Bristol. Influenced by the likes of Regina Spektor and Katy B (both of whom I love very very much), she's been in the studio with prolific young producer Daniel 'Pilot' Gouldie working on her debut EP "Paradise", as well as lending her distinctive vocals to a number of dance acts (Koan Sound, Asa, Statix, Mensa, Roksonix, Loadstar, etc).

The "Paradise" EP will be out December 4th. The sparkling "Sweet Sweet Melody" serves as Katie's first official single, out via LAB Records November 20th (next Sunday). Check it out below and be sure to show support getting it off iTunes when it's out. The video was shot at the start of the month and should be out soon. In the mean time, enjoy streaming the song below:

NEW MUSIC: Hatty Keane - Caught You Out

The sleek "Caught You Out" is the sixteen year old Hatty Keane's third single. The Manchester-native signed a development deal with BGM/Future early this year and hasn't looked back since, doing a school tour, amassing YouTube views of half a million and being confirmed as a special guest performer at the launch of Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model. She's also been working hard on her debut album with help from the likes of John Scott (Beyoncé, Chris Brown), Laurence Hobbs (Pixie Lott), Deekay (JLS) and RocNation's Bridget Kelly

Hatty Keane

Despite her young age, there's nothing Disney about Hatty. The track itself files well next to Cher Lloyd's recent hit "With Ur Love" - it's a mellow jam with slight electro and hip-hop undertones interspersed throughout the track. Things get slightly monotonous towards the last third of the song - a guest rap would definitely have been welcome. That said, Hatty brings the goods and the overall product is more than satisfactory.

Enjoy the video below and be sure to check out her official website www.Hattykeane.com

NEW MUSIC: Paul Child Band - The Same

Paul Child Band are an "alt-folk-rock" band from England. Their upcoming EP is titled "Runaway. Relax. Resign" and will be out in March, next year. "The Same" is the first track lifted from the EP and will serve as the outfit's first official single.

It's rather raw, "foot-stomping" and quite endearing (if that makes sense, I'm not quite sure how music can be "endearing" but it is). It also helps that they're all quite easy on the eye as well. The group will be touring all over the UK and Europe throughout 2012 and definitely sound like an act worth seeing live, so stay tuned to Paulchildband.com for all the latest info on when they'll be gigging near you etc.

Enjoy and download for free below:

NEWS IN: Courtney Love Erupts Over Kurt Cobain Pic & Bashes Dave Grohl

On-stage at a Hole concert this past Saturday (Nov. 12) in São Paulo, Brazil, the ever controversial Courtney Love stormed offstage after flipping out over a fan who kept holding up a picture of Love's deceased husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Love only returned to finish her set - which included her flashing the crowd - after one of her crew members led the spectators in a chant of "Foo Fighters are gay". (For those not in the know, Love has a long standing feud with Cobain's band mate Dave Grohl over their respective rights to the Nirvana legacy).

Enjoy the rock'n'roll diva's outburst below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Rebecca Ferguson - Nothing's Real But Love (Acoustic)

X-Factor alumni and Zayn Malik of One Direction fame's ex Rebecca Ferguson is set to release her debut album, "Heaven", on December 5th, just in time for the Christmas rush. 30 sec previews of the album's ten tracks are already up on Amazon and reveal an album of very grown, sultry R&B and Soul tinged Pop record. Fans hoping for dance records akin to her X-Factor performance of "Show Me Love" may be disappointed, but it could well be that this move is for the better, ensuring that Rebecca doesn't get lost in the shuffle of generic dance-pop music currently out. As such, whilst there isn't anything much in terms of Top 10 material here, it's not hard to see Rebecca carving a very comfortable niche for herself and shifting serious album numbers.

Anyways, the acoustic version of lead single "Nothing's Real But Love" is great and far better than the studio version. Although Rebecca describes her sound as a mixture of Adele and Corinne Bailey Rae, I can't help but pick up major Macy Gray vibes. All good stuff either way.

Enjoy the simple music vid for the acoustic below:

SINGLE COVER & LIVE PERFORMANCE: Nicola Roberts - Yo-Yo

The wonderful Queen Ginge - that is, Nicola Roberts - recently struck out solo with her debut album "Cinderella's Eyes", which I reviewed here. (In summary, it's very very good and every true Pop fan should go out and get it). After teasing fans with a lyric video for the fantastic "sticks + stones", she's gone with "Yo-Yo" as the official third single. The video shoot begins tomorrow, leaving Nicola's team a good month and a half of editing time, which bodes well for the video to premiere sometime before the song's official release (January 2nd). Nicola recently updated fans on a hair color change via Twitter, so there is the distinct (and slightly confusing) possibility that Queen Ginge will turn up blonde in "Yo-Yo".

Whilst the song is far from being my first pick for the single treatment (there are far, far superior tracks on the LP no doubt), it is apparently one of Nicola's favorites and a damned good song in it's own rights. In Nicola's own words, "The song is about being in that position with a guy when you really don't know whether you're coming or going. Being in that position can make you really vulnerable. It's the dark, desperate and doubtful side of love."

Watch this space for the visual - in the mean time, enjoy her live performances of the track at G-A-Y Heaven and at the BT Digital Music Awards below:

NEW MUSIC: Erasure - I Lose Myself (Ed Wilder Remix)

Legendary synthpop duo Erasure are currently holding a remix competition for new single "I Lose Myself" on popular site Beatport.com. Producer and DJ Ed Wilder, who recently provided remixes for Nicola Roberts' hit singles "Beat Of My Drum" and "Lucky Day", has put his own electro-rock twist on the Frankmusik production, which you can hear on the link below.

Be sure to show your support by voting for the mix (at the same link) - all you need to do is log in and "spin" it (just listening to it doesn't count as a vote).

Enjoy!

NEW MUSIC: P!nk - Bridge of Light (Happy Feet Two OST Single)

New mother and top-selling pop-rocker P!nk's new tune "Bridge of Light", lifted from the OST of Happy Feet 2 and co-written with Billy Mann, premiered earlier today on German radio. As it will probably be a minute before we hear anything new from the singer herself, it's great for fans to get something new, even if it's just a soundtrack single. Additionally Pink voices female lead Gloria in the actual movie, which premieres November 18th in the USA.

Fingers crossed (and I think it very likely) the track will see a worldwide release - P!nk's last two singles, "Raise Your Glass" and "Fuckin' Perfect", taken from her first Greatest Hits compilation, were both huge hits worldwide, peaking at #1 and #2 on the Billboard US Hot 100 respectively. And of course, the track itself is pretty darn good and perfect for the oncoming Yuletide Season.

MUSIC VIDEO: Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

Katy Perry recently matched Michael Jackson's 1987-88 record by scoring five Hot 100 #1 singles from a single album, with "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream",  "Firework", "ET", and "Last Friday Night" all reaching the top spot in the USA. Between them the five songs nabbed Katy an unprecedented 69-week long streak in the Hot 100 Top 10 and a 71-week stay in the Top 10 of the Airplay chart.

File:TOTGA.jpg

The album's sixth single (and no doubt what Katy's team hope will be her sixth #1) is the mid tempo love ballad "The One That Got Away", produced jointly by pop powerhouses Dr Luke and Max Martin. The song comes accompanied by a stunning visual, featuring Katy as an old lady and Latino star Diego Luna (of Y Tu Mama También fame), which can be seen below:

LIVE: Kelly Rowland - Down For Whatever

Diva Kelly Rowland performs new international single "Down For Whatever" on the popular Graham Norton Show in England. The song has also been C-listed at BBC Radio 1 (the UK's biggest and most influential radio station) this past week.

Stellar performance, shame the song itself isn't all that. Don't get me wrong, the song is a banger and a huge grower, but the resemblance to J-Lo's "On The Floor" is just too blatant to dismiss. Kelly do yourself a favour and just release the obvious smash hit of your album already, dammit!! (For those not in the know, that's her already-huge-in-America smash "Motivation").

Anyways, enjoy the performance below:

NEW MUSIC: Elsie - Dakota (Stereophonics Cover)

The Sunday Times' "one-to-watch newcomer" Elsie teases fans with her Bach-infused take on the Stereophonics' signature hit "Dakota", available for free download in anticipation of her 'dance floor heavy single' out in January.

An interesting spin on an interesting cover, quite Lana Del Rey-ish, but lacking a bit in umph. Will be interesting to see what she comes up with in future.

Be sure to check her out on Facebook and YouTube too.

MUSIC VIDEO: Matt Cardle - Starlight

:3It's simultaneously shocking and embarrassing how great a lead single this would have made for Mr Matt Sheridan "Credible Artist" Cardle. Fingers crossed it's not too late to avoid becoming a Butlins regular, eh?

Song is called "Starlight", it's out soon and video is already available. It's a bit Switchfootesque, which is great, so hopefully radio will give it a chance and lots of people will go out and get the album.

Enjoy!

File next to: Dare You To Move, How To Save A Life.

MUSIC VIDEO: Big Sean feat. Nicki Minaj - Dance (A$$)

I posted this song when it originally leaked, now here's the music video.

Let's face it. This is all kinds of amazing. Incredibly vulgar, yet amazing. Wonderfully understated, both Big Sean and Nicki absolutely kill the beat, not just lyrically but in terms of actual delivery and (dare I say it) swag.

Can't wait for the inevitable flood of remixes. R Kelly, Busta Rhymes, Trey Songz, where y'all at?

File next to: Look At Me Now, Did It On 'Em, Motivation.
