MUSIC VIDEO: David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium

Check out below the visual for David Guetta's new international (that is, non-US) single "Titanium", which is quite possibly the best track Guetta has ever been involved with - topping even "When Love Takes Over", "Acapella" and "Commander".

Already a Top 10 hit in various countries, the track follows up "Where Them Girls At" (ft. Flo-Rida & Nicki Minaj) and "Without You" (ft. Usher) as the new single from Guetta's latest LP "Nothing But The Beat". Having come across Sia's music online, Guetta enlisted her help on the song, which she co-wrote and whose demo she wrote. Originally intended for Katy Perry in mind, the track was shopped around to various artists after Katy turned it down. Chief of these was Mary J Blige, whose version of the track leaked earlier this year. At length, Guetta decided he liked Sia's demo so much that he'd keep her on the track instead.

The music video features child actor Ryan Lee and can be seen below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Hervé - Better Than A BMX

James Harvey, aka Hervé, is a producer, songwriter and DJ who goes by various names, including The Count (with Sinden), Voodoo Chilli, Speaker Junk, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers and Young Lovers. BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe recently declared this his "hottest record in the world". A slight exaggeration perhaps, but the track itself is indubitably fantastic enough to make up for the rather lame concept behind it. The video features pro-BMXers Ben Lewis, Peter Sawyer, Paul Ryan, Lloyd Wright and Kayley Ashworth (according to Gotta Dance Dirty; I myself wouldn't know).

The song precedes Hervé's debut full length album, "Pick Me Up, Sort Me Out, Calm Me Down", out on his own label Cheap Thrills February 26th - definitely one to keep an eye out for.

Interestingly, the vocalist (is it Hervé or someone else?) sounds incredibly like none other than erstwhile BMXer Frankmusik

FREE DOWNLOAD: Phlo Finister - Crown Gold EP

Phlo Finister's full debut album, "Youthquaker" will be out in 2012. The striking image above reeled me in; the Erykah Badu sample on "Riders On The Storm" hooked me; the hot beats and fine, fine, fine vocal runs akin to Brandy and other late 90s R&B stars closed the deal.

One to watch out for as we move into the New Year, no frickin' doubt.

MUSIC VIDEO: Rihanna - You Da One

Barbados' most successful export, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has just premiered the music video for her latest release from her sixth studio LP, "Talk That Talk", the island-flavoured romp "You Da One". Just like previous single "We Found Love" (which is shaping up to be Rihanna's biggest commecial hit thus far), the music video was direted by Melina Matsoukas and shot in Northern Ireland.

The half-arsed clip (which honestly seems more like an awesome lyrics video than a real music video) comes hot on the heels of Rih Rih vomiting on stage, in concert, a few days back. Having moved through three album eras in the same timescale that friend Katy Perry has spent on one, it seems like Rihanna is in need of a well-deserved rest to recharge her batteries.

MUSIC VIDEO: Chris Brown feat. Kevin McCall - Strip

Nowadays nobody does sex&B like our Christopher. There are of course those that try (Trey Songz and Jeremih we're looking at you) but neither has yet matched Christopher Brown's capacity to flip back and forth from straight-up club bangers to slick, racy unadulterated R&B. The sex&B cut in question today is called "Strip" and it features rapper Kevin McCall, who also featured on Chris's big comeback hit "Deuces" a while back. The song comes accompanied by an appropriate - or should I say, fitting - music video and will serve as the lead single from new album "Fortune", out March 2012, the follow-up to this year's #1 album "FAME".

MUSIC VIDEO: Mary J. Blige - Mr Wrong

The Queen Of Hip-Hop-Soul Mary J Blige has just premiered the video for her new single, "Mr Wrong". The track is a winner and far superior (both song & video) to lead single "25/8". Although the album version features Drake, the video version is a solo affair, with Mary J lamenting her love for her Mr Wrong.

Get it Mary!

Love it love it. Just one question - why is she grinding on a pole ?

MUSIC VIDEO: Goapele - Play

The only kinship between this and the J-Lo hit is the name and possession of an infectious beat. Once called the spiritual love child of Sade and D'Angelo, Goapele is back after a six year break with "Play" - electro-soul at it's very best: understated, sublime, sexy and sleek.

Check out the video below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Willow feat. Nicki Minaj - Fireball

Ouch.

Cheap videos are rarely (that is, never) the way to go with mediocre songs which attempt to recapture past glories. It's evident the project's whole budget was blown just getting Nicki to be there; the rest is just odd and doesn't flow very well.

At least we'll always have "Whip My Hair".

MUSIC VIDEO: Mariah Carey & John Legend - When Christmas Comes

Thanks to her classic hit "All I Want For Christmas" and two top-selling Christmas albums, Mariah Carey's name has become sinonomous with Yuletide festivity and Christmas playlists. Keeping true to her pride of place as Queen of Christmas, Mariah has released an updated version of her "When Christmas Comes", this time featuring extra vocals from good friend John Legend.

Spot the special guests in the video below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Karmin - Crash Your Party

Oh Karmin. Karmin, Karmin, Karmin...Karmin! This is just tragic, in the way that Wham! was tragic. Evidently just a vehicle for talented singer/rapper Amy Heidemann until such a time as she sees fit to part ways from business and romantic partner Nick 'Disposable' Noonan. As talented, classically trained and handsome as he may be, there's just no star power there. No charisma, no life. All eyes on her; it's all about Amy. And it's embarrassing to see him pretending to sing along when his vocals (if they're there..?) are indistinguishable throughout.

Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan - iHeartRadio Music Festival - Day 1 - Press Room

The song itself is a'ight, but cheesy as hell. In all honesty it seems more geared towards a Disney/Nickelodeon audience than the more adult audience the duo's cover of "Look At Me Now" will have brought in. Perhaps there's a future for them on either of those networks with their own show, similar to the formats which have accompanied the likes of S Club 7, Big Time Rush and others.

NEW MUSIC: Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself

Oh, this is good! Fingers crossed Adam Lambert will serve up a decent video á la Whataya Want From Me and none of that femme fatale glam-rock male Gaga stuff.

Enjoy:

NEW MUSIC: SWV - Co-Sign

Currrently in talks for their own reality show, 90's R&B stars SWV (Sisters With Voices) have debuted their new single "Co-Sign", lifted from their as-of-yet untitled comeback album. The song - their first single in some fifteen years - manages to be straight-up R&B without being the utter bore that some of Monica, Keyshia Cole and other's attempts at "old school" "pure" R&B tunes have been.

Fingers crossed the reality show will get picked up and the ladies will get a decent budget to work with on videos and the like.

NEW MUSIC: Katy Perry feat. B.o.B - The One That Got Away (Remix)

Having matched Michael Jackson's record of five #1s from a single album, and his sister Janet's record of six Top 5 hits from one album, it was immediately obvious Katy Perry would go one step further and angle to surpass both Jacksons by scoring her sixth #1 with "The One That Got Away". The why is obvious, but the how was in dispute - until today, when Katy released the song's official remix featuring popular rapper B.o.B.

The tried and tested tactic of releasing a remix featuring a popular guest artist to boost song downloads, especially when the song is riding high on radio ("The One" nabbed over 98 million audience impressions on US radio today with a huge bullet) has been utilised by Katy at least once before, fingers crossed it'll be enough to push the song to the top spot.

The remix itself is a OK copy&paste affair. Check it:

PART 3: "THE ARCHETYPES" | MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

Marina And The Diamonds proceeds with all her Electra Heart arty-farty deeply meaningful ultra-philosophical explanation of why her new music will be unabashedly Top 40 mainstream dance-pop produced by the likes of Dr Luke et al.

So...whatever. Here it is, whatever this is:

FREE DOWNLOAD: Diana Vickers - Kiss Of A Bullet

Singer-songwriter, stage actress and fashion designer Diana Vickers - best known for her chart-topping album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree and single Once -  announced earlier this year she had parted ways with record label RCA for "purely creative reasons". Still unsigned, she's given away two brand new tracks this week as treats to whet her fans appetite for new music (new album will be out sometime in 2012).

The latest of these is "Kiss Of A Bullet", it's produced by Amir Amore and it's decidedly lush.

MUSIC VIDEO: Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

Another day, another rousing anthem from the original American Idol, Miss Kelly Clarkson.

"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" is the second single from Clarkson's fifth LP "Stronger", which opened with some decent (but unremarkable) numbers back in October.

All bow.

LYRIC VIDEO: David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On

Following up their smash hit earlier this year "Where Them Girls At" (which also featured Flo-Rida), French DJ and superstar producer David Guetta and #1 rap female Nicki Minaj are on to another winner with their second smash collaboration, "Turn Me On".

Check out the lyric video (they're all the rage nowadays) below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Cher Lloyd feat. Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten & Ghetts

It's been a good while since this was shot, so it's good to finally get it. Cher Lloyd's music video for her most aggressive and memorable album track "Dub On A Track", features Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten and Ghetts (who have all been branded "sell-outs" by die-hard fans for this collaboration). The video has finally premiered via SB.TV, with the unfortunate anecdote that it will NOT be a single.

Damn girl!

Just as well really, since the video is quite shit. Although the song still deserved a release. On the upside, US X-Factor judge and label head LA Reid has expressed interest in guiding Cher's Stateside career - the Malvern, Worcestershire native is apparently already recording new tracks for a US release of her debut..Watch this space!

MUSIC VIDEO: Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

The official music video for "Born To Die", the official second single of newcomer hipster Queen of all Elizabeth Grant - that is, Lana Del Rey - is now out.

As with everything Lana-related thus far, it's  flawlessly fantastic and absolutely spot on. The song itself is perfectly showcased admist striking visuals (if you can, please please view this in 1080p, it makes all the difference).

For once someone is beating Gaga at her own game, without coming across as a copy-cat or imitator in any way.

Love love love this.

MUSIC VIDEO: Frankmusik - Wrecking Ball

"Wrecking Ball" is the latest visual from Frankmusik's sophomore LP "Do It In The AM", following up the title track and second single "No I.D.".  It's one of my favourite tracks from the record and comes accompanied by an animated visual, love it below:

NEW MUSIC: Ke$ha - Sleazy (Remix 2.0 Get Sleazier) feat. Wiz Khalifa, André 3000, T.I., & Lil Wayne

A remix of Ke$ha's banger of an album track "Sleazy" featuring an extended verse from André 3000 (one-half of Outkast if ya don't know) leaked a while back, to a largely positive reception from fans of both. Now Ke$ha's taken things to the next level and added new verses from Lil Wayne, Whiz Khalifa and T.I. to the song's official remix.

Needless to say the Benny Blanco/Dr Luke/Bangladesh production goes HARD.
