BEHIND THE SCENES: Jennifer Lopez on "Papi" Video Shoot

Diva extraordinaire Jennifer Lopez has chosen popular album track "Papi" as the new single from her comeback LP "Love?", following up worldwide smash hit "On The Floor" and follow-up "I'm Into You". For the visual that will accompany the song, the soon-to-be-divorced Lopez brought on board Paul Hunter, who directed the visuals for her classic hits "If You Had My Love" and "Love Don't Cost A Thing".

The official remix of the song will feature would-be hitmaker Pitbull, a rather uninspired yet necessary choice, given Pitbull's reputation as a radio staple whilst J-Lo's most recent single "I'm Into You" stalled in the lower reaches of the airplay charts. Interestingly, J-Lo's ex Marc Anthony is featured on Pitbull's own (rather cringe-worthy) new single, "Rain On Me".

The J-Lo assault on Hollywood continues with two new movies - she recently completed a 2 week shoot for the film "What To Expect When You're Expecting" (alongside Rodrigo Santoro, Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz) and will start working on "Parker", either in New Orleans or Florida, this September 6th. The audition process for Jennifer's second season of "American Idol" started this week, most likely ending in December (2 to 6 days a month), with the live shows starting in March.

Finally, Jennifer recently shot a commercial for FIAT and will be one of the headliners for the MDA (Muscular Distrophy Association's) labor Day Telethon, on September 4th.

MUSIC VIDEO: The-Dream - Murderer

Superstar producer The-Dream - known for his work producing smash hits for the likes of Beyoncé, Mariah, Rihanna and Ciara, among others - is also a solo artist in his own right. Gearing up to release his fourth album, "Love, IV (Diary of A Mad Man)" through his own Radio Killa and Def Jam records, he is also set to release a free album called "1977" this August 31st.

To satiate his fans, the Atlanta-based star tweeted fans a link to his new track "Murderer", inspired by action-thriller "Colombiana", starring Zoe Saldana, which will be out in the States this Friday (August 26th). Check out the trailer with which Dream paired his song below:

MUSIC VIDEO: Marina And The Diamonds - Radioactive

The new music video for Marina And The Diamonds new single "Radioactive". The song forms part of the quirky Anglo-Greek singer's new concept of "Electra Heart" (who is not an alter-ego but a "vehicle"), which embodies "the lies, the illusion and the death of the American dream". New songs are based around this new concept and, by extension, America and an outsider's view on the American dream. The general idea is that Marina has 'sold-out' but not really, it's actually..well, in her own words (in her recent interview with Popjustice:)
"Electra Heart is the antithesis of everything that I stand for. And the point of introducing her and building a whole concept around her is that she stands for the corrupt side of American ideology, and basically that’s the corruption of yourself. My worst fear - that’s anyone’s worst fear - is losing myself and becoming a vacuous person. And that happens a lot when you’re very ambitious."

Lived in myth

The song will be available on October 3rd, probably alongside 'Part I' titled "Fear & Loathing".

Marina doesn't seem to be quite sure whether this is lifted, or not, from her sophomore album due out later whenever (no date, but early 2012 seems likely). Big name collaborators she's been working with include the likes of production superstars Dr Luke, Stargate and Diplo, with both Luke/Stargate and Luke/Diplo working together on tracks for Marina.

Basically, it's all a bit messy, complicated and somewhat nonsensical. The song's good and she looks great blonde, so...enjoy.

MUST-SEE: Lady GaGa MTV Video Music Awards 2011 Promo

Lady Gaga is set to open MTV's Video Music Awards later this month at L.A's Nokia Theatre. In anticipation of the performance - which is rumored to be a continuation of her notorious 2009 performance - Gaga has unleashed a black and white promotional video, set to  her song "Government Hooker". If you thought Gaga was getting boring with her last two music videos being "normal", think again.

Other confirmed performers for this year's VMA's include Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars and Adele. The show will air live on Sunday, August 28th, at 9 p.m EST.

MUSIC VIDEO: One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

Boyband One Direction's debut music video for "What Makes You Beautiful" is now out. Just like the song, there's nothing special about it - it's basically the budget version of JLS and The Wanted's recent having-fun-at-the-beach videos.

Naturally it's going to be absolutely huge with teen girls and make One Direction a radio staple for the next two years or so. Here's to hoping at least one or two of their future releases will be as enjoyable as it will be generic.
